Industrial engineering is a discipline dealing with optimization of complex processes and systems. Its main focus is to develop and implement integrated systems built up by components such as human, material, method, money, knowledge, and environment. It also deals with evaluating the results and forecasting behavioral and status belonging to the systems being examined combining mathematical, physical, and social sciences by methods of engineering design and principles. The discipline emphasizes maturity in mathematics and system design.
